I had recently bought myself the older version of the premieres but it seems like the only difference is the lack of tongue support on the fusion models. But other than that it’s basically the same.
I am definitely overbooting for these skates but they are totally worth doing it for. I had just started working on my axel and no progress on doubles yet. These are recommended on the Jackson website to switch into these when you are starting to/working on doubles.
Other than that, I know it’s going to be an uncomfortable break in progress but i know this stuff will last.
Before this I had the freestyles set and after 2.5 years it was time to get a new boot. And I’m so glad I did. The one hole that is right by the ankle joint is very helpful for getting a knee bend so that has helped me on my sit spin.
I think these are going to last a long time like at least 2 years before they start dying on me (I skate about 5 hours a week for reference) and another thing is the support is really good for me which is always good. 10/10
would recommend

Overall, I’m pleased with my Premieres. I came from the older model and the lightweight materials make a noticeable difference, even though I’m using heavier blades. I like the stiffness, though it seems like the synthetic uppers crease more easily. I do have a cosmetic crack and a few chips in the fusion some. They’re comfortable enough after a lot of modifications- I still have pain points, but I always have, so that’s mostly a me problem at this point. They feel secure on my feet and fit me better than the lower models did because of the extra wrap. Better insoles than the stock ones made a big difference to fit and comfort for me. I’m working on axel and doubles but am a fairly abusive skater, and they’re a great choice for my level. I’m hoping they’ll last a year or so. Overall, I like them a lot!
