I skated in Phantoms for years, even as an ice dancer, before being convinced to switch to MK Dance. Coming back after a break of 20 years, I didn’t feel comfortable with the short heel of the dance blades and after struggling to “get over myself” for 2 years, gave in and bought a pair of Phantom Parabolic. Heaven. Got on the ice and just felt at home again. I’ve never loved a blade as much as the Phantom and was slightly dubious about the Parabolic bit but they were a bargain price so I went with it. So much fun! I think you really need high quality edges and turns to really feel the benefit of the Parabolic blades but I’m honestly having the time of my life with these. Yes, they have massive toepicks. No, they aren’t a problem provided your posture is good and you skate with your weight in the right place.

I’ve been in Phantoms for the past 18 years with 3 different sets of blades. I feel like they do last for a LONG time. I have no complaints against my Phantoms and have no desire to ever switch
