These blades are on my current skate setup and I absolutely love them! Depending on what blade you are switching from, the toepick can be quite large at first and cause a fair amount of scratching and tripping; however once you adjust it’s no big deal!
I have these in the blue color, and it is very light, sometimes looking like silver; but when these catch the light and the blue shows it is gorgeous! I’ve seen every color in person, and they all are absolutely stunning!
The biggest drawback is that the chassis gets very scratched up very easily; and if you have colored blades this shows up even more. It doesn’t affect the quality of the blade, but is more of a aesthetic issue. Particularly around the heel, it’s essentially unavoidable that they’ll get scratches and dents.
The matrix legacys hold sharpenings well, giving them great edge control. I’ve found them to make a slightly different sound while skating compared to other blades, and it’s quiet, but powerful!
I’ve never had issues spinning or jumping with these, and highly recommend them for those looking to buy their first separate blade!
