I’ve had Pattern 99 for multiple skates. Before these I had a more “beginner” blade (Majestic), and now I keep coming back to the standard (non parabolic, none-Phoenix, etc.) Pattern 99 every time I need new blades. These feel great on jumps in general and toe jumps in particular. Spinning is not the easiest, but that may also just be me.

I love these!! The 8 ft. rocker is really stable, & they are shorter, so I don’t fear clicking the heel & toe on back crossovers. A bit harder to spin on, though.

I skated in the John Wilson coronation comets before the 99’s and was suggested to upgrade to these rather than Gold seals. John Wilson’s words were going from the comets I’d feel like I was falling off the edge of a cliff if I jumped to Gold seal haha. I absolutely love these blades! As soon as I skated in them I was able to do all what I could before without a struggle. Jumps especially Toe jumps feel so much more controlled as the toe pick really grabs the ice (in a good way)

I’ve skated in two pairs of P99’s and I come back to them because of the great toepick every time. While they are expensive and are definitely a big transition in terms of determining weight placement and such, they really help give your jumps incredible lift and are very stable. I highly recommend these if you’re in a Coronation and looking to start higher level jumps.

I’m currently skating on Pattern 99s after 2 sets of boots with Coronation Aces and I’ve got to say I love them. The toepick is amazing and my toe jumps now feel like actual jumps rather than weird steps.
I love the edge control I get from them and my three turns are super smooth. I also feel like I’m overall standing a lot straighter and I scrape my toepicks much less often even with it being bigger.
It took a bit to get my forward spins back after switching but holding my sit and camel positions is a whole lot easier and I love doing backspins in them. I just feel like I can sit on my rocker forever.
The one con I’d say is the price. They’re pretty expensive but I’m glad I decided to switch into them!

The pattern 99 profile is my favorite profile in my opinion. My very first blades were pattern 99 and I absolutely loved them! The flatter profile really give amazing edge stability and the toe pics are unmistakably huge and awesome! The spin rocker is smaller than the gold seal or phantom profile so spins and footwork might be a little bit more difficult to learn. People who currently skate on coronation ace usually transfer over to the p99 because it is a easier transition than going to Goldseal. From what I understand the MK professional is a easier transition to Goldseal. If you love and want explosive jumps pattern 99 is the way to go!
