These boots are not for me. They are incredibly flexible laterally (compared to Harlick’s) and that makes me feel unstable. I did go down a half size and got the wide width to accommodate the ball of my foot but the toe box on these is enormous. I don’t want to be able to lift my toes in my skates and i can wiggle all around in these boots which also leads to a feeling of instability. After skating on these for around three months they started breaking down. The quality is subpar….I know that’s the point to have a less expensive product but it’s also less value if you have to replace every year or sooner. And it’s not like they were cheap! I paid $700 for mine. They were shockingly comfortable after being baked but that went away within a couple months as, I’m guessing, the heat moldable gel started to break down. I’d rather pay more for a better quality boot that might not feel like house slippers from day one but give me the support and longevity I need and want.

The toe box on these skates are great for my feet. The toe box is very round and very tall. I can lift my toe up in my boot, which is great for me. I had custom skates for a bit that had a shorter toe box and would cause nerve pain and numbness in the ball of my foot.
The main negative of these boots is that there is very very little Achilles padding. Myself and another skater at my rink developed pump bump from these skates. In order to keep using them I had to have my fitter un-stitch them and add memory foam padding around the Achilles and ankle bone.
So I do like them, but I won’t be buying them again. It’s a bit ridiculous to get a boot this expensive without adequate padding.

I love these boots. They provide strong support with the perfect amount of ankle stability for me as an adult skater attempting doubles. I skate hard and break down boots pretty easily, but these boots lasted longer than any others for me. I personally find the pre-punched ankles that Jackson do in their skates as standard to be ideal for me (but this will depend on your foot shape). They are heat mouldable but I didn’t need my skate tech to do any moulding or punching out for me. Now that they are getting to the end of their life, I am finding that I need to retie more often otherwise the tongue slips, but as I say, they have impressed me with their durability.

The first skates I bought as an adult were an older model of these boots. They provide good support and I was able to land some pretty high leveled jumps and improve my footwork in these. They were also relatively low price since I bought an older version.
HOWEVER, I had a lot of issues with these boots. When they broke down I ended up having to deal with lace bite. This started after I had been skating in them just over 8 months. I skate about 8-10 hours a week tops; they were broken down completely in 12 months. On top of that, they were generally not very comfortable and I just happened to not have foot anatomy that was compatible. If the pain had been less and they had lasted longer, I would have been happy with their performance.
If you skate 5-6 hours a week, have the right anatomy for a Jackson, and get them punched out, they can work. They just didn’t for me .

I absolutely adore my Jackson Elites! The only problems I have/ had is with comfort. I had to get these skates punched out 3+ times, we had to strip some of the padding from the tongue and I have minor problems with them becoming too loose. I had a lot of work put into these boots to make them just right for me, but in the end I love them a lot!!!
