Bought my Aura skates at the very end of 2020 into 2021. They’re great skates, being full custom and made to fit your feet perfectly. However, I ran into an issue that the company does know about. I had my boots remade within the first two months of having them because they didn’t actually fit my feet. The first set had great room allowance for my feet with is something I wasn’t used to and disliked. A bit of background, I came out of SP Terri’s “Pro Boot” with a modified cuff for support as I over power my boots. SP Terri was known for their close fit and support in their boots which was something I adored about them before trying Auras. My skate techs informed my that I have AA/AAAA feet, narrow ankles and “nice” arches — those features limit what boots I am able to wear. When Auras became an option, I was encouraged to try them and was told that they would enhance my general skills, which they did. Unfortunately, with the first set off boots having too much room a haglund formed on my right heel. My skate techs and I contacted Aura, explained the issue and remade the boots to be closer fit and was informed that it would take a while for the haglund to go away — a couple of months of so. It hasn’t gone away yet and it caused me to issues with my Achilles tendon for the past two years. I don’t believe my right ankle has ever fit into the heel pocket and there was nothing Aura is able to make it smaller. Which I find a bit odd. Both feet are measured and scanned, so wouldn’t that entail both feet having a different boot fit? My guess is no. I recently had to begin using an Eezee Fit sleeve on top of KT tape and a bunion pad in order to skate without pain. I’m kind of upset by these boots. My experience with TRUE has been wonderful, but the skates themselves have caused more problems physically and kept me from training higher level skills for the past two years. I shouldn’t have to add multiple layers around my heel and ankle in order to skate comfortably.
My warning might be to those who have very narrow feet all around. You might have a different experience with Auras than I did, but keep in the possibility of having a few issues along the way. That’s not to say other skate brands are perfect and their boots won’t cause problems, but it might be worth doing some research and talking with other skates who have custom boots. At the moment, I am not sure if I will continue with Aura and am conducting research on what else is out there.

Purchased Nov 2019 on recommendation of Pierce Skate and Ski salesman. The tongue has slid down on every toe jump on the landing skate from day one, Aura solution was to put laces under the tongue, which did not work, tongue still slips. Last week an eyelet broke while lacing up the skate, sent it in and it will be over a week before we get it back ( in the middle of the season) and we have to drive over an hour to Pierce to pick up because they will not ship directly to customers. We were sold on great customer service from Aura and have not yet experienced any. Very dissatisfied with customer service with this company

I just got my new Aura boots in. Immediately after trying them on it felt like ‘home’ for my feet. They are super light weight and fit so well. I haven’t ever had custom shoes or boots for that matter and these are hands down so far my fave because they reallyFit my bad feet. i have narrow ankles and wide to double-wide fore-front of the foot. I haven’t gotten to skate with them yet so I’ll be back to edit this comment or if not then add a new one with how I feel with them on while skating.

After 16 years of skating I have finally found the correct boot for my foot! I have trouble with pronating and have owned 16 pairs of skates…guess what these Auras Custom boots have corrected all of my problems. They scan your foot and the boot is molded around your foot. When I got mine they felt like slippers but had great support. Then on top they are heat molded to your foot and ankles! I have never skated as fast, as strong and as stable! When I put them on I looked down and finally no pronation at all and I can now do several moves I could not achieve before. I have recommended the Auras to several skaters and they have all thanked me. These boots are fairly new to the market but have been tested by the company before release. I say take a chance on something new. I believe these boots are the future of figure skating.
