These were my first proper skates, and I absolutely loved them. They were incredibly comfortable, and had the perfect support for the skills I was learning at the time.
I’m a plus size adult lady, and these lasted me around 3 months, but I needed higher stiffness boots because of skill progression. I was just learning my basic skating skills when I got these, and needed to upgrade once learning waltz jumps. After I got my new skates these were passed on to a friend who is still getting great use out of them!
The artistes are great for learning basic skills or for recreational skating. The blade was mounted well, and the toepick was a great size for beginners who are adjusting to being on the ice.
I’ve recommended these to many of my friends who are beginning their skating journey; as they are perfect for learning all your basic skills!

I started skating as an adult in these. I’m 110lbs, 5’3”, wide feet. They’re very roomy in the toe box and fit my chunky toes better than other brands. I skated in these for about 2 years before they really broke down. I only skate 1-2hrs a week. They are pretty comfortable after breaking in (took me 30hrs Bc I have very uniquely shaped feet—extra navicular bones and bunions on both sides). The toe box is not that padded so it does aggravate bunions if you have them and it takes a lot of trial and punching to get right.
They retained their stiffness really well until I started jumping. Half jumps not too much problem, but they just broke down instantly when I got to loop. I started getting pain on the outside of my leg when a crease appeared on the outside ankle. Granted, these aren’t really rated for jumps so i was pushing it. If you have no jump ambitions, these will last a while. If you do want to jump without upgrading, go for Elle or freestyles.

These were my very first pair of skates! I thought they did wonders for stabilizing my wobbly beginner ankles until I could hold my own. They’re not incredible if you want to work on dance because they’re pretty high, but if you want to work on freestyle or moves, they can last well over a year. I retired these after 8 or 9 months for something more friendly to ice dance, but they still have a lot of life left in them. Just be sure you get sized properly because a lot of people end up in boots too big for them and that creates a lot of bad habits.

These were the very first boots I had and I really liked them! They were pretty stiff and lasted me 8 months. When I wore them I was only doing waltz jumps, toe loops and beginning salchow and they supported me so well. I would DEFINITELY recommend these skates for newer skaters or skaters just beginning freeskate!

I am a 5’4″ 125 lbs adult skater with one year of experience, working on single jumps and basic spins. I bought these as my first pair of figure skates and they absolutely served their purpose, but if you are going to get serious with the sport I would not recommend them. They are much more comfortable inside than the Excel model, but they did not properly fit my foot and after a few months of learning the basics I started to experience a lot of pain when trying more advanced jumps. If you enjoy skating at a recreational level and want a really nice pair of skates, these are for you.
