I was looking at upgrading from the entry-level blades that the shop had originally paired with my boots (Jackson Ultima Aspire). I was considering the usual choices of Coronation Ace or MK Pro, but the opportunity came up to give these a go at less than the cost of either of the other two. I was worried about tripping over the very large toe pick, but it absolutely has not been an issue. These are springy blades! I’m finding it quite easy to feel the rock up to the toe pick to jump, and they have lovely bite into the ice. My first time jumping was an exhilarating experience; it no longer felt like I was fighting to get into the air. They turn nicely. I will say that I’m still having a hard time spinning on them, but I’ve also only been able to get three hours of ice since they’ve been mounted.
For reference: adult skater, 5’10/155lb, working on axel, double toe, double sal
