I really like these boots so far (I have had them for 3 months). They are incredibly stiff and provide just the right amount of support for me (adult, 5’5”, 140 pounds, skating 6-8 hours a week). They still manage to be comfortable and are easy to punch out to make even better. They also work great with any kind of orthotic insole you want to include.
Things to keep in mind: they have a low heel, so you may have an adjustment period for where you need to keep your weight. The sides of the boot are sharp and sometimes give me scratches on my ankles, so if you pronate, so be aware of that. They also have a narrower toe box than most brands, so if you have a wide toe area, they may not work. I don’t, so it’s perfectly fine for me.
Overall, they are a good boot for any adult who’s starting doubles and are fairly comfortable. I like them almost as much as the old Silver Stars.
