I am not an adult skater so I need a little bit of support. These skates are not the best for comfort and with give you problems in you Achilles’ tendon. The cork heel gets very soggy after a day of skating and will start to wear down. The blade quality is pretty good considering it’s an in box blade

I’m 41, a beginner, and have wide feet. These skates fit my right foot wonderfully, but not my left foot which is a half size smaller. I also have an Achilles injury on the left side and there isn’t enough padding in these boots for me to feel supported. Because they are so narrow even in a wide width, there isn’t much room for me to add a bunga pad. I think a younger skater with less issues and narrow feet could excel with these, but would not recommend them to older skaters with ankle/feet issues due to lack of padding/support. I even have the Riedell
Arch kit, which offered minimal help and was not the best quality. There’s a point in time where you have to part with a pair of skates because you have to make so many alterations in order for them to be mildly comfortable. These are well-constructed, high-quality skates, but just not right for me. Riedell needs to add some padding to the ankle (like I have seen in Jackson skates), and improve arch support without having to spend a lot of extra money.
